MOLES INSPECTION / SCREENING

What is moles inspecting/ screening ?

  1.  A skin cancer screening is a visual exam of the skin that can be done by yourself or a health care provider.
  2. The screening checks the skin for moles, birthmarks, or other marks that are unusual in color, size, shape, or texture.
  3. Certain unusual marks may be signs of skin cancer. Basal cell and squamous cell cancers are the less serious types
even though they   always demand treatment) and make up 95% of all skin cancers.

Should you get your moles checked?

Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer and one of the main reasons why we at the GDDC always recommend starting routine screenings for all adults starting from the age of 35 years (regardless of gender).
